Following a company and showing interest in a role

You can follow any company on KoffeeChat, whether you're a talent or a shepherd. When a company runs its own organisation on KoffeeChat, you can also tell it you're interested in its open roles.

Following a company

1. 1Step 1: Open the company's page or its quick view.
2. 2Step 2: Press Follow. It changes to Following, with a bell beside it.
3. 3Step 3: Changed your mind? Press Following again to unfollow.

Press the bell to get alerts about that company in a weekly email. To see every company you follow, turn on Following in the filters on Companies. Following companies and alerts

You can follow up to 200 companies. Follow and unfollow the same company many times within an hour, or follow a lot of companies in one go, and Follow pauses until the hour is up. Unfollowing always works.

Showing interest in a role

1. 1Step 1: Find the role under Open roles in the quick view, or Open roles at the company on its full page.
2. 2Step 2: Press I'm interested. The role then shows Interested.
3. 3Step 3: Interested in more than one of its roles? Press I'm interested on each of them.

We add you to the company's list of interested talent so it can follow up with you. On the Free plan an organisation sees the first 3 people who showed interest, so it may only see you once it upgrades. Make sure your profile, CV and LinkedIn are up to date first. Adding your CV and LinkedIn

What the company can see

• Most companies aren't on KoffeeChat themselves, so nobody there sees that you follow them yet. When a company does run its own organisation on KoffeeChat, it sees everyone who follows it, including people who followed before it joined.
• A company you follow or show interest in on KoffeeChat sees your name, your photo if you share it, your headline, your career stage, your school and where you're based, when you followed it and which of its roles you're interested in. It doesn't see your dream role, what you do now or the sectors you picked when you joined.
• On the Free plan, an organisation sees the first 3 people who showed interest in it.
• Shepherds that company has verified as its own (colleagues it invited by work email) can see that you follow it, but only if your profile is visible to shepherds. On the Free plan they see you only if you're among the first 3 people the organisation itself sees.
• Companies on KoffeeChat that you follow also show on your profile for shepherds, if your profile is visible to shepherds, so they understand what you're aiming for.
• Your alerts and the weekly digest are private: no company knows you turned them on.
• Companies see how many times their pages and jobs were viewed, never who viewed them. Just browsing stays private.
