Where to find your meeting link once a shepherd accepts, and what to do if it's missing or you're running late.
Calls on KoffeeChat
Some shepherds are trying audio calls inside KoffeeChat. If yours is, your chat shows Join call and your email says Join the call on KoffeeChat, with their meeting link as a backup. Audio calls on KoffeeChat
Your calendar invite
When your shepherd accepts, we email you with a calendar invite you can add to your calendar. The invite carries your shepherd's meeting link, such as Google Meet, Zoom or Calendly, when they've added one.
The chat also shows as Confirmed under Your coffee chats. If you open the booking again, it says Check your email for the details and meeting link.
Took a shepherd's meeting link instead? There's nothing to wait for: the chat is confirmed the moment you take it, and an instant call opens straight away. Got a meeting link from a shepherd?
If the link is missing
Some shepherds share their link separately. If there's no link in your invite, message your shepherd before the chat to ask for one: once they've accepted, you can write to them from Messages. Who you can message
On the day
- Join a minute or two early, from somewhere quiet, with your questions to hand.
- Running late? Send your shepherd a message straight away.
- Can't make it after all? Tell them as early as you can.
If your shepherd doesn't join
Give it a few minutes, then send them a message: plans sometimes slip. If it keeps happening, choose Report a problem in your account menu, pick Coffee chats & bookings and tell us which chat it was.
