Editing your About section

Write the short introduction talents read first, and choose where it shows.
Your About is a few sentences in your own words: who you are, what you've done and what you're happy to talk about. Talents read it on your card, your profile and your booking page before they decide to book.
Write or change it
- Step 1: Go to Your profile and find About on the Public profile tab.
- Step 2: Press Edit (or Add if it's empty).
- Step 3: Write your introduction. The counter shows how many of your 600 characters you've used, and line breaks are kept.
- Step 4: Press Save About. Press Cancel (or Esc) to leave it as it was; if you've changed something, we ask Discard your changes? first.
Write your About on your setup list is ticked once your About has at least 21 characters. Until then, the editor says how many more to add.
Clear the box and save to remove your About altogether.
What works well
Two or three sentences are plenty. For example: "I'm a risk analyst at a bank. I moved from audit into banking and I'm happy to talk about credit risk, professional exams and making the switch." Talents can book and message you on KoffeeChat, so there's no need to add an email address or phone number.
Where it shows
Your About shows on your shepherd card, in your profile window, next to the calendar when talents book you and on your public booking page. To leave it off your page and card, switch off About under What visitors see. While it's off, Your profile shows a Hidden from visitors note next to it.
Hidden isn't private
Hiding your About takes it off your page and card. It isn't a place for anything you'd want kept secret.
