Deleting your account

How to delete your account for good, and what's removed when you do.
Deleting your account is permanent. It can't be undone, so take a moment to be sure.
Talents: delete it in Settings
- Step 1: Go to Settings → Account.
- Step 2: Under Danger zone, press Delete account.
- Step 3: Read Delete your account? and press Yes, delete.
We delete your profile and profile photo, your bookings and the notes on them, your ratings and reviews, your growth plans and your uploaded CV files, and the recordings, transcripts and summaries of every recorded call you were part of (for both of you). If you joined Beta testers, your membership, votes and unpublished ideas go too, and your comments are emptied and show as "Comment deleted" (an idea the team published stays on the board without your name). You're signed out straight away.
Your invite link stops working and your list of invited friends goes with it. If a friend invited you, they keep the credit, but your name and photo no longer show in their list. We keep a one-way, keyed fingerprint of your email address (not the address itself, and it can't be turned back into it) after you delete your account, so the same address can't be invited again. Shepherds, organisations and work accounts
Email hello@koffeechat.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We may need to confirm it's you before we act. If you'd just like a rest from shepherding, you can take a break instead.
Before you delete
- Paying for Plus or Pro? Ask us to cancel your plan first: choose Report a problem and pick Payments & KoffeePoints, or email hello@koffeechat.com.
- Have a coffee chat coming up? Let your shepherd or talent know you won't be there.
- We may keep limited records where the law requires it, such as payment records.
