What shepherds can see about you
For talentsUpdated 17 Oct 2026
Exactly what approved shepherds see in their Talents list, and the switches that control it.
Approved shepherds can browse talents on their Talents page and invite them to a coffee chat. Your profile is listed there once you've finished setting up, unless you choose to hide it. Only shepherds our team has approved can see the list.
When a shepherd invites you, you'll see it in the bell with a Book a time button, and we email you too. Emails about coffee chat invitations
What your card shows
- Your name and photo (you can hide the photo).
- Your headline or current role, your university, and your city and country.
- Your career stage, the industries you picked and your dream role, if you gave one.
- The companies you follow or have opened, and roughly when you were last active.
What shepherds see, at the bottom of the settings page, is a live preview of your card exactly as shepherds see it.

When a shepherd opens your profile
Pressing View profile on your card opens your full profile in a window in the middle of their screen: your banner, why you might be a good fit with them, your dream role, anything you've chosen to share, the companies and industries you're interested in and what shepherds have said about your chats. A CV you've shared opens right inside that window.
Your About, Education and Experience from your Profile show there, and on your card in Talents, the same way What visitors see shows them on your public page, so one set of switches covers both: switch off Education and shepherds don't see your school either. Your CV, LinkedIn, growth plan and career ladder follow the shepherd switches above. Your public profile link
When you book a shepherd
A shepherd you book always sees your name, your photo and whatever you include in that request, even if your profile is hidden. Sharing your CV, growth plan, career ladder or LinkedIn
